Being right in the middle of the state you have the advantage of being able to access every part of Florida. It’s only a 3-7 hour drive to any part of Florida.

Or you can take your family to Orlando and visit Disney anytime you want! Disney is only an hour or an hour & a half drive from Tampa. Gasparilla - Every year in January Bayshore becomes a pirate party where over 300,000 people come to enjoy the parade. When we say it is a party, we really mean it’s a party.

People travel from all over Florida just to visit for the day. Kids return from their colleges; FSU, UF, UM, FAU, UNF, FGCU, and UCF just to take part in the festivities. It is one event you can’t miss, literally, it’s so big and it takes over the city for the weekend.

Bayshore & The Riverwalk

Bayshore is the world’s longest stretch of sidewalk, spanning over 4.5 miles long. Whether you want to enjoy the view or take a stroll for exercise, it is a beautiful scenery of the bay. You will not find anything quite like it anywhere else.

The Riverwalk is a close second to Bayshore, but it offers something Bayshore doesn’t a great date night location.
